We have certainly had a busy February! At the beginning of the month, we put on our Show at the Thameside Theatre in Grays which we have been working for many months on. Then last weekend, 30 dancers represented the Academy at a special Show held at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London’s West End. The West End Show was organised by Class Talent Ltd, who believe that all children and adults alike should have the once in a lifetime opportunity to perform on a world stage and develop their full potential, regardless of class, age and ability and be able to experience the pride of performing on stage that perhaps many people take for granted. The girls from The Evans Academy of Dance danced to Riverdance, Disney Parade and Cats in the Show and Eleanor Anderson got to perform a solo as well.
Keiley Evans, who runs the Evans Academy of Dance said, “I am very proud of everyone that took part in the Show at the Thameside Theatre and also at Her Majesty’s. The girls have worked so hard for the past year and it was great that both Shows were a huge success and the girls enjoyed themselves”.
